It's possible to personalize only the pick-ups and drop-offs. As it’s a group shared tour with other tourists, the actual tour can not be personalized.
We also offer private tours that are totally personalizable according to your interests and likes. The most popular private tour in Rio de Janeiro is the so-called “Christ, SugarLoaf, Seleron, Downtown, Beaches Tour & layovers” that cover whatever you want to do. In order to find it click on here.
Do other tourists join the tour with me? Or is this tour in group?
Yes, this tour is open to anyone who wants to join it.
By making a booking with Gregtur, you hereby accept to share the vehicle and guide with other tourists who might be joining it as well, including people under a disability.
Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?
It's unlikely it rains so much that we are forced to cancel the tour.
If for some unexpected reason we are forced to cancel the tour, all reserved guests will be contacted via email and text to be advised properly.
What happens if I fail to show up? Will I get a refund?
No, we’re afraid not. If there are extenuating circumstances why you were unable to come, please drop us a line at email@example.com and we will try to find a space for you on a later date, but we cannot guarantee this.
I bought the tour, but now can’t make that date, can I use it on another date?
Yes, the booking is valid for 30 days from the date on it has been scheduled.
Are there any other costs regarding entrance fees or sites during the tour?
No, there are NO extra fees to pay for attending the show.
Can I anytime give up on continuing in the tour with the rest of the group and guide?
Yes, you can leave the tour anytime you wish. Sometimes, tourists have to leave before the tour finishes or they like so much an attraction that decide to spend more time at a sight or place. In this case, just let the guide knows that you are quitting the tour for some reason.
There is no refunds for such cases.
Does the guide pay their own expenses during the tour?
The guide’s basic expenses such as meals, drinks and parking lot are paid by themselves on spot.
What does the tour guide talk about?
All tour guides have complete knowledge about the city sights, culture, history, music and social-economic aspects of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil.
How is the weather like in that part of Brazil?
Southeastern Brazil, the climate is tropical, with a relatively cool season from May to October, and a hot and muggy season from December to March, with November and April as intermediate months. The daily average temperature ranges from 21.5 °C (70.5 °F) in July to 27 °C (81 °F) in January and February.
Although the average temperatures are not very high, sometimes in summer very hot days can occur, with highs around 35/37 °C (95/99 °F), from October to April. However, summery days can occur even in winter, with highs around 30/32 °C (86/90 °F) even in June, July and August.
On the other hand, during the cool season, from May to October, cold air masses of Antarctic origin can bring cool temperatures, or even a little cold at night, in fact lows can drop to around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and highs can stay around 18/20 °C (64/68 °F).
It rains almost everyday in abundance during summertime at the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening, around 5PM. It’s a tropical rain that lasts about 1 hour, but pours down very heavily. It’s not a good idea to be out during a tropical storm.
Winter is quite dry, but at times some disturbances can affect this area, bringing some days of bad weather, and also cool temperatures. This happens mostly in mid-winter (in the months of June, July and August), but it can also occur in the months of May, September and October.
The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that in Brazil the winter begins in June.
What if I arrive at the airport or port? Does the tour guide wait for me at the arrivals area of the terminal?
Once you have arrived at the airport or seaport, there will be a member of our staff / guide waiting for you at the arrivals area holding a clear sign with your name on it, they will then escort you to your waiting private vehicle.
What’s the minimum and maximum number of people can I hire a city tour for?
The tour can be hired for 1 person up to 14 people.
It's also possible to tour in Rio de Janeiro with groups higher than 14 people, but it’s more worth hiring a private tour in this case as it can be cheaper.
