Spend a relaxing day swimming and having fun in the sun visiting some of Rio’s top beaches in a day trip. Unlike the beaches in the south of Rio such as Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon that have greater visibility, the exuberant beaches of Prainha and Grumari are free of high-rise buildings, protected by the vegetation of the Atlantic Forest, and have clear waters.
Located in the west of the city of Rio de Janeiro, only about 1 hour from Copacabana beach, the delightful beaches of Prainha and Grumari are outside of the tourist circuit, making them great options for those who want to escape the crowds and enjoy the beach in peace.
It’s certain a destination for those who want to be closer to nature, swim, surf or simply want to plant themselves in a beach chair and relax having appetisers and sipping drinks beachfront.
Our vehicle picks you up with a live guide commenting about the route along wonderful landscapes and the most of Rio’s beaches such as Copacabana, Ipanema, Arpoador, Leblon, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, Praia da Macumba and Prainha. The drive goes through some winding roads with incredible sceneries laying beside the ocean, locations ideal for photo stops and contemplation.
Have a fantastic lunch at a naturally rustic seafood restaurant set in a tree house in the rainforest. The scenery over the sandbank fills the eyes, seeing the mangrove with its islets of abundant vegetation and beach views as far as the eye can see. (Lunch is not included in the tour price)
After having such a delightful day, have brief stop to taste the original delicious cachaça at the only distillery in Brazil to produce it without heavy metals and superior alcohols, and yet zero copper.
The proposed itinerary takes about 10 hours including pick-up and drop-off at your Hotel in Rio de Janeiro

Requirement of "list of pax" & "passport or ID numbers" for taking highways with vehicles with more than 15 seats
For long-distance trips, we may have to ask the state or federal road department authorization for taking open highways with big vehicles like vans and buses. Thus, in order to do that, it's required the list of all passengers and their passport or ID numbers at the time of the booking (send it via e-mail after the booking). Therefore, it’s extremely important to book tours with long-distance pick-ups or drop-offs with at least 24 hours in advance.
If big vehicles like a van or a bus is traveling without the required documents and the police pulls it over, the trip cannot continue.
For local pick-ups or drop-offs like airport or nearby cities, there is NO need of such list and passport or ID numbers.
Such requirement is not necessary for small vehicles like sedans, minivans and SUVs.
Who drive me during the tour throughout the city?
The tour guide themselves drive the vehicle in case of groups with up to four (4) people besides guiding and giving all the tour explanations. Groups bigger than four (4) people have also a private driver along with the tour guide.
Vehicle models
The assigned vehicle is according to the number of passengers for the tour. The vehicles are all fully-equipped and suitable to fit you and your group comfortably.
Midsize sedans.
Minivans.
15-seater vans
The tour should NOT cover the full itinerary only if there are unexpected issues like bad weather or other adversities.
In case tourists spend more time at a sight or place, it should impact on the tour coverage reducing the number of seen sights..
We recommend arrive at the tour starting location at least 10 minutes before the tour effectively starts. The e-mail confirmation that you receive the day before the tour should state the tour guide’s name and phone number for any unexpected issue.
This field is to specify the number of hours the licensed “TOUR GUIDE & VEHICLE” will be at your availability. The count starts from the pick-up moment the tour has been set to get started.

Southeastern Brazil, the climate is tropical, with a relatively cool season from May to October, and a hot and muggy season from December to March, with November and April as intermediate months. The daily average temperature ranges from 21.5 °C (70.5 °F) in July to 27 °C (81 °F) in January and February.
Although the average temperatures are not very high, sometimes in summer very hot days can occur, with highs around 35/37 °C (95/99 °F), from October to April. However, summery days can occur even in winter, with highs around 30/32 °C (86/90 °F) even in June, July and August.
On the other hand, during the cool season, from May to October, cold air masses of Antarctic origin can bring cool temperatures, or even a little cold at night, in fact lows can drop to around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and highs can stay around 18/20 °C (64/68 °F).
It rains almost everyday in abundance during summertime at the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening, around 5PM. It’s a tropical rain that lasts about 1 hour, but pours down very heavily. It’s not a good idea to be out during a tropical storm.
Winter is quite dry, but at times some disturbances can affect this area, bringing some days of bad weather, and also cool temperatures. This happens mostly in mid-winter (in the months of June, July and August), but it can also occur in the months of May, September and October.
The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that in Brazil the winter begins in June.
