 This tour offers stops en route for pictures, contemplation, exploration, snacks or lunch, and a little shopping for souvenir. 

 Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, boats do not have a good infrastructure in terms of accessibility adaptation. 

 In periods of Christmas, New Year’s turn or long holidays, the traffic in the coast can be unbearable. In that case, it’s better to ask us about the traffic likelihood before booking.

 We may have to mix a group of tourists who speak three different languages. The guide maybe has to speak with the tourists switching among English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

 A group of up to 42 people share a 44-seater bus with an English, Portuguese and Spanish speaking guide who will escort them during the entire excursion.

 The nautical tour is on board a schooner vessel, capacity for 100 passengers. 

 If you cancel at least 5 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.

 If you cancel between 2 & 4 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If a 50 percent down payment has been made, this will not be reimbursed in case of cancellations between 2 and 4 days in advance.  

 If you cancel within 1 day of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

 As the sea on Arraial changes very quickly, this tour can be canceled because it passes through the open sea. Cancellation due to the bad sea condition that the boat does not leave port – full refund of all deposits/payments will be made.

 The charge is made in Brazilian currency.

 This tour takes about 14 hours counting from the actual beginning of it. 

 You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this activity. 

 Tipping is not included in our service fees, It is never mandatory although it is always appreciated. We do believe that if the guests have been happy with their service, the guide, assistant and driver should receive a tip as a token of appreciation. Standard gratuities in Brazil runs around 10 % depending on the service received.

 Pick-ups between 6:50 am and 8:00 am, but we will contact all tourists on the date prior to the tour to schedule a more accurate pick-up time.

 Meet the guide and driver at your hotel in Rio. You'll meet your group, pay the tour in cash (in case it's not already paid), and enjoy your tour!

 As soon as the tour guide arrives at your hotel, they get the front desk to call you in the room in case you are not at the lobby.

 In the very unlikely situation that you are not able to locate our guide, please call one of our emergency telephone numbers that are on the voucher.  

 Note that Arraial is 170 KM from Rio in each direction, and some adversities can influence the travel time to arrive and return, such as heavy traffic or weather. Travel time is expected to take around 3 hours each way, but it can take more. 

 This tour takes about 14 hours counting from the actual beginning of it. It should finish about 20:00 or 20:30 p.m.

 The assigned vehicle is according to the number of passengers for the tour up to 42 people maximum. The vehicles are all fully-equipped and suitable to fit you and your group comfortably.

 Any late arrivals that the vehicle has already left the meeting point, call us or the guide to arrange to meet the vehicle somewhere in the itinerary. The e-mail confirmation voucher that you receive the day before the tour should state the tour guide’s name and phone number for any unexpected issue.

 Just fill out the “PICK-UP” and “FINAL DROP-OFF” location fields to have the price for the tour guide to pick you up wherever you are, take you on the tour, and return you back to your place afterwards. The booking system may automatically reject too long-distance pick-ups & drop-offs, as the tour may NOT be worth taking because of the trip time to the city of the tour. In this case, you can either select closer locations or get in touch with us for options.

 Children under 5 while sitting on laps and accompanied by a paying adult are free of charge on this tour. Needless to sit on laps if there are seats available. 

 Children aged between 6 and 11 years old pay half the adult’s rate on this tour while accompanied by a paying adult. 

 12-year-olds and older pay the regular adult rate.

 No. As it’s a group shared tour with other tourists, so it can not be personalized. 

 Yes, this tour is open to anyone who wants to join it. 

 By making a booking with Gregtur, you hereby accept to share the vehicle and guide with other tourists who might be join it as well, including minors and people under a disability.

 In case the weather does not turn out well on the day of your booking (i.e. strong winds and/or rain), first we will try to find an alternative date for the tour. If this is not possible, the booking will be cancelled and no costs will be charged (any deposit will be fully returned). The skipper will have the last word about whether or not to proceed with the boat trip.

 Bear in mind that the forecasts can change until last minute. In case of unstable weather, it will only be decided last minute whether to cancel or to go ahead with the tour.

 Most of Arraial rain is in the evenings during summertime, so you will find that most tours are very sunny.

 If for some unexpected reason we are forced to cancel the tour, all reserved guests will be contacted via email and text to be advised properly.

 Southeastern Brazil, the climate is tropical, with a relatively cool season from May to October, and a hot and muggy season from December to March, with November and April as intermediate months. The daily average temperature ranges from 21.5 °C (70.5 °F) in July to 27 °C (81 °F) in January and February. 

 Although the average temperatures are not very high, sometimes in summer very hot days can occur, with highs around 35/37 °C (95/99 °F), from October to April. However, summery days can occur even in winter, with highs around 30/32 °C (86/90 °F) even in June, July and August. 

 On the other hand, during the cool season, from May to October, cold air masses of Antarctic origin can bring cool temperatures, or even a little cold at night, in fact lows can drop to around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and highs can stay around 18/20 °C (64/68 °F).

 It rains almost everyday in abundance during summertime at the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening, around 5PM. It’s a tropical rain that lasts about 1 hour, but pours down very heavily. It’s not a good idea to be out during a tropical storm.

 Winter is quite dry, but at times some disturbances can affect this area, bringing some days of bad weather, and also cool temperatures. This happens mostly in mid-winter (in the months of June, July and August), but it can also occur in the months of May, September and October. 

 The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that in Brazil the winter begins in June.

 No, we’re afraid not. If there are extenuating circumstances why you were unable to come, please drop us a line at info@gregtur.com and we will try to find a space for you on a later date, but we cannot guarantee this.

 Yes, you can try to join the tour going at right time at the meeting point without upfront booking, but we cannot guarantee a spot for you. In case there is a spot for joining it, just pay the amount directly to the guide in cash or credit card.

 You can make a down payment online of either 50% or the total amount. If 50% of the payment is made online as a down payment, the remainder should be in cash directly to the guide on spot.

 Yes, the booking is valid for 30 days from the date on it has been scheduled.

 No, there are NO fees to pay for visiting places of interest during the tour.

 Yes, you can leave the tour anytime you wish. Sometimes, tourists have to leave before the tour finishes or they like so much an attraction that decide to spend more time at a sight or place. In this case, just let the guide knows that you are quitting the tour for some reason. 

 There is no refunds for such cases.

 The tour can be hired for 1 person up to 42 people.

 It's also possible to take this tour with groups higher than 42 people, but it’s more worth hiring a private tour in this case as it can be cheaper.
