 This tour has a moderate level of difficulty. The hike ranges between 8-9 kilometers in length with midium elevation. Trip members should have previous hiking experience and be in good physical condition.

 Trails are composed of dirt with some quiet steep sections.

 Please consider the suitability of such activity before booking. 

 The tourist must inform the guide before the start of the hike of medical conditions, illnesses or disorders that may be relevant for safety reasons or aggravated during the tour. 

 Visitors who have never been vaccinated against yellow fever should get the vaccine at least 10 days before traveling. If it has been 10 or more years since the vaccination it’s a good idea to consider getting a booster dose.

 It's advisable always to take water and a little snack. The guide should stop by at a grocery store to grab some supplies before the tour begins.

 If you cancel at least 5 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.

 If you cancel between 3 & 4 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.

 If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

 It’s very important you are aware that the "Natural Reserve" is located in the very extreme south of the city of São Paulo. From the main part of the city of São Paulo (Paulista avenue) the drive takes about 2:30 h to reach it. If you are further north in the city of São Paulo or in the city of Guarulhos (GRU airport), the closest meeting point to you is hotel Unique.

 We may have to mix a group of tourists who speak three different languages. The guide maybe has to speak with the tourists switching among Portuguese, Spanish and English.

 The tour should NOT cover the full itinerary only if there are unexpected issues like bad weather or other adversities.

 In case tourists spend more time at a sight or place, it should impact on the tour coverage reducing the number of seen sights.

 We recommend arrive at the tour starting location at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. The e-mail confirmation that you receive the day before the tour should state the tour guide’s name and phone number for any unexpected issue. Any late arrivals that the vehicle has already left the meeting point, call us or the guide to arrange the meeting elsewhere. 

 No. As it’s a group shared tour with other tourists, it can not be personalized.

 No, we’re afraid not. If there are extenuating circumstances why you were unable to come, please drop us a line at info@gregtur.com and we will try to find a space for you on a later date, but we cannot guarantee this.

 Yes, you can try to join the tour going at right time at the meeting point without upfront booking, but we cannot guarantee a spot for you. In case there is a spot for joining it, just pay the amount directly to the guide in cash or credit card.

 Yes, the booking is valid for 30 days from the date on it has been scheduled. 

 No, there are NO fees to pay for taking part in this tour. It's all included.

 The guide for this tour should have knowledge about hiking, local regions ecology, wildlife, fauna and flora. The guide always tries to lead as safe as possible and conform to all possible situations during the tour. The “guide” denotes a certified hiking guide. 

  All tour guides also have complete knowledge about the city sights, culture, history, and social-economic aspects of São Paulo and Brazil.  

 In case the weather does not turn out well on the day of your booking (i.e. rain), first we will try to find an alternative date for the tour. If this is not possible, the booking will be cancelled and no costs will be charged (any deposit will be fully returned).

 Most of São Paulo's rain is in the evenings during summertime, so you will find that most tours are very sunny.

 If for some unexpected reason we are forced to cancel the tour, all reserved guests will be contacted via email and text to be advised properly.

 Southeastern Brazil, the climate is tropical, with a relatively cool season from May to October, and a hot and muggy season from December to March, with November and April as intermediate months. The daily average temperature ranges from 21.5 °C (70.5 °F) in July to 27 °C (81 °F) in January and February. 

 Although the average temperatures are not very high, sometimes in summer very hot days can occur, with highs around 35/37 °C (95/99 °F), from October to April. However, summery days can occur even in winter, with highs around 30/32 °C (86/90 °F) even in June, July and August. 

 On the other hand, during the cool season, from May to October, cold air masses of Antarctic origin can bring cool temperatures, or even a little cold at night, in fact lows can drop to around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and highs can stay around 18/20 °C (64/68 °F). 

 It rains almost everyday in abundance during summertime at the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening, around 5PM. It’s a tropical rain that lasts about 1 hour, but pours down very heavily. It’s not a good idea to be out during a tropical storm. 

 Winter is quite dry, but at times some disturbances can affect this area, bringing some days of bad weather, and also cool temperatures. This happens mostly in mid-winter (in the months of June, July and August), but it can also occur in the months of May, September and October. 

 The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that in Brazil the winter begins in June.

 The tour can be hired for 1 person up to 18 people.

 It's also possible to tour with groups higher than 18 people, but it’s more worth hiring a private tour in this case as it can be cheaper.
