We will take you off the beaten path to discover Paraisopolis Favela (slum). Enjoy the delicious traditional Brazilian Feijoada dish “Bistro Mãos de Maria” on the rooftop of the community association in the middle of the favela.
Take a 3-hour guided tour and feel what life in a favela is really like. Tour through São Paulo's second largest favela experiencing a different culture and getting a unique insight into the vibrant spirit of its people, especially the hidden veritable artists who live there.
The itinerary is made on foot and includes along the way the Estevão’s Stone House, the famous Gaudí of Paraisópolis, as well as the Berbela, who makes sculptures from motorcycle parts and any other material that could be disposed of in the trash.
The Feijoada tour take place every Saturday gathering residents of the community with visitors from various locations in the city and the world.
This is a socially-conscious tour that part of your payment is reverted to the local non-profitable community association to support their charity projects within the community. The local community association also hosts the visit and gives utter support providing us with a local monitor from the community to escort us around in the company of our bilingual guide.

Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, there is NO good wheelchair accessibility in Paraisopolis.
Groups of up to 26 people share a 26-seater minibus with an English, Portuguese and Spanish speaking guide who will escort them during the entire excursion.
If you cancel at least 5 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 2 & 4 days in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. if a 50 percent down payment has been made, this will not be reimbursed in case of cancellations between 2 and 4 days in advance.
If you cancel within 1 day of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.

Tipping is not included in our service fees, It is never mandatory although it is always appreciated. We do believe that if the guests have been happy with their service, the guide, assistant and driver should receive a tip as a token of appreciation.
