Metropolitan Cathedral

The Metropolitan Catedral of São Paulo, commonly called Catedral da Sé, is the best known Catholic temple in the city of São Paulo. It has 111 meters long, 46 meters wide and 65 meters high, making it one of the five largest neo-Gothic sanctuaries in the world.

  

Temple of Solomon

The Temple of Solomon, built by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, is a replica of the biblical ancient temple of the same name in Jerusalem.   

With a capacity for more than ten thousand people, based on biblical guidelines, the temple is the height of an 18-story building.

The Temple also has a museum that brings the history of the ancient temples, with replicas of the original artifacts, so that the visitor really feels at the times biblical. 

Monastery Saint Benedict

Monastery Saint Benedict is an important Beuronense style building with more than 400 years of history. The historical temple accommodated the Pope Benedict XVI in 2007.

Orthodox Cathedral

The Orthodox Cathedral, one of the Greek Orthodox Churches of Antioch in Brazil, is one of the most outstanding buildings for its architecture based on the Church of Santa Sofia, a Byzantine building in Istanbul, Turkey. The Cathedral was inaugurated in 1954, which makes it one of the most recent among the many prominent churches that permeate the city.

Museum of Sacred Art

The Museum of Sacred Art of São Paulo is one of the main Brazilian institutions dedicated to the study, conservation and exhibition of objects related to sacred art. 

It houses one of the most important collections of sacred art in Brazil, accumulated throughout the 20th century, with pieces from ancient churches across the country. It has also images of saints made in Brazil and Europe between the 16th and 20th centuries, in addition to silverware and paintings. 

  

Santa Ifigênia Church

At the end of the Santa Ifigênia Viaduct, it is possible to visit the Santa Ifigênia church. An example of revivalist architecture, the temple stands out for its high central tower and the detailed stained glass windows, imported from Venice.

  

Pátio do Colégio & Church of São José de Anchieta

Historic São Paulo founding site, museum of the city and Church of São José de Anchieta. 

With the intention to teach and catechize the natives, the Jesuits built the first school and church and began what 4 centuries later would become the largest city in the Southern hemisphere. 
The Church's got its current name in 2014 after having its patron José de Anchieta canonized by Pope Francis. 

São Francisco Convent and Shrine

Built in rammed earth (clay, stones and animal oil), the church was founded in 1647 by seven Franciscan religious, newcomers to São Paulo.

Two illustrious residents of the convent were Frei Galvão (First Brazilian Saint), and Cardinal Dom Paulo Evaristo Arns, who transformed the convent into a sanctuary in the 1990s. 

Another curiosity is that in the basement, there is the convent bakery, which daily bakes various breads and sells them at the church door.

Church Nossa Sra. do Brasil 

One of the most magnificent Churches in São Paulo

Founded in 1940, the parish is one of the most sought for weddings in town. Many, by the way, feature in social columns in São Paulo newspapers.

The church was inspired in Brazilian and Portuguese baroque temples. The style is neo-colonial, very popular in São Paulo architecture from the 1920s and 1930s.

  

Church Of The Third Order Of Carmo

The "Igreja do Carmo" played a big role on the formation of São Paulo in the early times. It's also home to a representative collection of colonial art, including the paintings on the ceilings of the main chapel by the master Frei Jesuíno of Mount Carmel.

  

Santo Antonio Church

The Patriarca Square is home to the Santo Antonio Church, historical patrimony of the state, that unites invaluable artistic pieces of the colonial period. In addition to its famous baroque carving altar from 1780, the sanctuary features the oldest and most well-preserved murals of the city, dating back to the beginning of the seventeenth century, which were found during its last renovation in 2005.

Having faced many restorations, the current front of the temple, conceived in eclectic style, dates from 1919.

 We don't actually sell a set tour program for a certain number of hours, but instead we sell the number of hours the “TOUR GUIDE & VEHICLE ” are going to be at your availability to do a certain activity with you. There is also private driver for groups bigger than 4 people in addition to the guide.

 Make sure the number of hours you entered in the “TOUR GUIDE & VEHICLE AT YOUR AVAILABILITY” field, which is the 2º field on the "PRICE FORM", is enough for you to cover the sights you want to see and the activities you want to do.

 As soon as the tour guide arrives at your hotel, they get the front desk to call you in the room in case you are not at the lobby.

 In the very unlikely situation that you are not able to locate our guide, please call one of our emergency telephone numbers that are on the voucher.

 Requirement of "list of pax" & "passport or ID numbers" for taking highways with vehicles with more than 15 seats

 For long-distance trips, we may have to ask the state or federal road department authorization for taking open highways with big vehicles like vans and buses. Thus, in order to do that, it's required the list of all passengers and their passport or ID numbers at the time of the booking (Send it via e-mail after the booking). Therefore, it’s extremely important to book tours with long-distance pick-ups or drop-offs with at least 24 hours in advance.

 If big vehicles like a van or a bus is traveling without the required documents and the police pulls it over, the trip cannot continue. 

 For local pick-ups or drop-offs like airport or nearby cities, there is NO need of such list and passport or ID numbers.

 Such requirement is not necessary for small vehicles like sedans, minivans and SUVs.

 When does the hired number of hours start to be counted?

 The count starts from the pickup moment, no matter where you are.

 Do I pass by or visit all the listed sights in the suggested itinerary?

 We don't actually sell a set tour program for a certain number of hours, but instead we sell the number of hours the “TOUR GUIDE & VEHICLE ” are going to be at your availability to do a certain activity with you. 

 In case tourists want to have more stops for any reason or spend more time at a sight, it should impact on the tour coverage reducing the number of seen sights or establishments.

 The tour coverage depends on the tour rhythm as the guide goes at your pace, and also pretty much on the pick-up & drop-off locations.

 Other adversities may also slow down the tour progress such as traffic jam, and the group size that determines the size of the vehicle. Bigger vehicles assigned for bigger groups tend to be slower, and thus cover less ground and sights.  

 What if I am in a city far away from São Paulo and want to take this tour?

 Just fill out the “PICK-UP” and “FINAL DROP-OFF” location fields to have the price for the tour guide to pick you up wherever you are, take you on the tour, and return you back to your place afterwards. The booking system may automatically reject too long-distance pick-ups & drop-offs, as the tour may NOT be worth taking because of the trip time to the city of the tour.  This field is to specify the number of hours the licensed private “TOUR GUIDE & VEHICLE” will be at your availability. The count starts from the pickup moment the tour has been set to get started at your hotel, airport or any address you have chosen. 

 Does the tour guide always pick the customers up at their places?

 Yes, always. Sometimes, other than the tour guide, there is also a driver depending on the number of people.

 Can I personalize the tour according to what I want to see?

 Yes, private tours are totally personalizable according to your interests and likes. Talk directly to the tour guide about your wishes or write them in the “BOOKING OBSERVATION BOX” further during the booking process.  

 Do other unknown tourists join the tour with me? Or is this tour in group or private? 

 The tour is totally private and exclusive for you and your group. No other person out of your group must join your tour, unless it's invited by you.

 Does the guide pay their own expenses during the tour?

 The guide’s basic expenses such as meals, drinks and parking lot are paid by themselves on spot. 

 The guide may decline to participate in high-priced activities that fall out of the scope of a regular tour such as going to fancy restaurants or anything out of a standard tour. In these cases, if customer wishes to have the guide as a permanent companion, the guide’s expenses should be covered by the customer. Otherwise, the guide must wait for the customer just nearby to continue on the tour afterwards. 

 What does the tour guide talk about?
