Our professional guide picks you up at your place in São Paulo and drive to the town of Ilhabela about 4:00 h away in the north area of the state.
As São Paulo is 760 meters above sea level, in order to get to Ilhabela, highways get through an astonishing mount range that extends for approximately 1500 kilometers along the south and southeast coast of Brasil. Have brief stops on the way down to take some breathtaking pictures of the valleys through the set of hills.
Once we arrive at our accommodation we have a few hours for lunch and explore one of the gorgeous beaches before catching up in the evening for a few drinks.
Ilhabela is a heaven with dozens of beaches with blue sea and clear waters to be chosen.
Be introduced to nightlife and the Island vibes, we visit downtown fulls of bars, restaurants, pizza places, ice cream parlors, shops and cafes. The city gets even more vibrant and busier with tourists disembarking from cruise ships and live shows in the peak season.

On our second, it’s time to shake a little bit. After breakfast, we jump on a boat and cruise up the sea canal outlining the Island in search of the paradise beach of Castelhanos, secluded on the opposite side.
During the ride, we may be able to see schools of dolphins and even whales, as well as admire the wonderful landscape of the rich marine fauna.
Before getting to Castelhanos, there are stops at two marvelous beaches. Grab a snorkel and go for a swim, free floating dive or relax in the crystal clear waters without waves.
Castelhanos beach is considered one of the “ten most beautiful beaches in Brazil”... A real paradise!
Arriving at Castelhanos, enjoy the day at the beach eating appetizers, fresh seafood, typical cuisine and having delicious caipirinhas. Head out for swims in the river or the sea and stand-up paddle. Ask the guide for the beach’s hidden spots like trails to waterfalls, viewpoints and other nearby isolated beaches. Get to know the local traditional community that lives there for generations.
At Castelhanos, several waterfalls come together to form a beautiful lake in the middle of the white and thin sand before flowing into the sea. Quite an experience!
On the return, our 4x4 vehicle leave the beach and cross 22 km through the Atlantic Forest revealing its rare natural beauties and rich biodiversity. Maybe even stop by another waterfall or two to freshen up before getting back to the urban area.

On our third and last day, it’s time to get moving. After breakfast, we transfer 25 minutes to the beginning of the trail of Paquetá waterfall which is one of the most beautiful and famous waterfalls on the island.
The trail to the waterfall has three stops, the first two with crystal-clear water wells for diving and the third is really the great charm of the place, with a stream that serves as a toboggan and that forms a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the sea. The trail is light at the beginning and the walk takes about 20 to 30 minutes walking, but at the end is very steep and a little slippery.
Then, after that, if you want to see the famous view, just reach the top. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful views in Ilhabela.
After the waterfall, have a delicious lunch trying typical Brazilian cuisine and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere before hitting the road going back to São Paulo.
This wonderful Ilhabela adventure comes to an end, and in the middle afternoon we travel over to the city of São Paulo. Whether you’re heading back to São Paulo or have a flight home we will make sure you get to where you need to go.
