Day 1: My God Waterfall & The Devil’s Cave
My God Waterfall
“Meu Deus” is an impressive 53m waterfall in the middle of the rainforest.
The access to the beautiful waterfall is a medium difficulty hike (one hour), which passes through natural pools with crystal clear water and other smaller falls.
Also, be prepared for a refreshing river bath in one of the swimming holes on the way.
The Devil’s Cave
Caverna do Diabo (The Devil’s Cave) is a real natural heritage and definitely one of the most beautiful caves in Brazil, with a diversity of incredible formations like stalagmites, stalactites, columns, towers, candles, helictites, curtains, travertines, and the grandiose chamber known as Cathedral.
The access is easy featuring strategic lighting, walkways, stairs and handrails, among a maze of galleries at different heights.
The cave is more than 6km long, where 700 meters are prepared for visitation.
At the entrance, it has a beautiful stream to embellish the scenery even more. Visitors can go up several levels by the stairs while the river waters go down slipping through the galleries disappearing in the darkness. It’s simply breathtaking!
Day 2: Traditional Local Community "Quilombo" & Return to São Paulo / GRU airport
Quilombos are places of refuge of escaped African and Afro-descendants enslaved people from farms during the colonial and imperial periods. The slaves went to the quilombos fleeing from mistreatments given by their exploiters and owners.
The quilombos were villages preferably inaccessible, such as the tops of mountains, in the woods and caves. Once there, the slaves met and managed to live a free life.
Pay a visit to the Ivaporunduva Quilombo that has more than 3000 hectares of extension where 308 people from the community line in. More than 80% of its area is still covered by Atlantic Forest
The survival of these families is achieved through traditional cultivation of rice, cassava, corn, beans and vegetables for their own use. For consumption and income, they produce organic bananas and handicrafts , besides receiving school groups for tourism.
The highlight of your visit will most likely be meeting and interacting with the locals OR community people. Offer them respect and dignity and they’ll reward you in return with stories and activities about their way of life.
In this visit we will know the Afro-descendants, their struggles and resistance, culture, art and gastronomy, besides having a direct contact with an abundant and rich nature.
After having such an adventurous day, on the journey back to your place, we’ll cater a conversation to your interests and our expertise, whether that can be fauna, flora, biome, or cultural history of the area.
To meet your needs, you can also decide on the number of people in your group (up to 14 people), pick-up & "final drop-off locations", pick-up date & time, and language… and price will be shown according your demands.

Southeastern Brazil, the climate is tropical, with a relatively cool season from May to October, and a hot and muggy season from December to March, with November and April as intermediate months. The daily average temperature ranges from 21.5 °C (70.5 °F) in July to 27 °C (81 °F) in January and February.
Although the average temperatures are not very high, sometimes in summer very hot days can occur, with highs around 35/37 °C (95/99 °F), from October to April. However, summery days can occur even in winter, with highs around 30/32 °C (86/90 °F) even in June, July and August.
On the other hand, during the cool season, from May to October, cold air masses of Antarctic origin can bring cool temperatures, or even a little cold at night, in fact lows can drop to around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and highs can stay around 18/20 °C (64/68 °F).
It rains almost everyday in abundance during summertime at the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening, around 5PM. It’s a tropical rain that lasts about 1 hour, but pours down very heavyly. It’s not a good idea to be out during a tropical storm.
Winter is quite dry, but at times some disturbances can affect this area, bringing some days of bad weather, and also cool temperatures. This happens mostly in mid-winter (in the months of June, July and August), but it can also occur in the months of May, September and October.
The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that in Brazil the winter begins in June.
Once you have arrived at the airport, there will be a member of our staff / guide waiting for you at the arrivals area holding a clear sign with your name on it, they will then escort you to your waiting private vehicle.
The "tour count" of hours starts to run from the time the tour guide meets the tourist.
